The Millennium Silver Irish Punt coin was struck in Sterling Silver in the year 2000. This Piedfort coin is double the thickness and weight of the regular circulating Millennium punt coin which was made of copper and nickel. Piedfort coins are minted as collector's items.
The outer band of the ring bears the Irish name for Ireland - éire, and the year 2000 with the tips of the Irish harp. On the inner band the oars of the Broighter Boat remain above the word MILLENNIUM along with 2 stars and £1.
This substantial ring has a band width of approx. 9.5mm and can be made in ring sizes from R (US 8.5) to Z +5 (US 15).
