This Celtic Swan Coin Ring is crafted from a sterling silver commemorative coin which was issued by the Irish Central Bank in 2004. This silver proof €10 coin marks the accession of ten new countries to the European Union and also pays tribute to Ireland’s presidency of the EU.
Europe and its new members are represented on the coin as a swan nesting on ten eggs, with an overall style that recalls traditional Irish art. On the outer band of the ring we see the swan's head with ten stars above it alongside the denomination of the coin "10 Euro". Inside the band are the names of the ten accession countries in their official languages and "eire 2004"
This ring is crafted from a large coin and can only be made in sizes 10 (U) and up. The width of the band is approximately 13.5 mm. The ring pictured is a size X (US 11.5).
