Product Overview

This ring is made from a 1988 German 10 Deutsche Mark coin that was minted to commemorate the scientific instrument maker, optician and businessman Carl Zeiss.

On the outer band of the ring is a stylized eagle, "Bundesrepublik Deutschland 1988" and "5 Deutsche Mark". On the ring edge are the words 'OPTIK FÜR WISSENSCHAFT UND TECHNIK’ meaning 'Optics for science and technique' and inside the band is written "Carl Zeiss 1816 - 1888".

While the coin this particular ring is made from is mostly silver (62.5%), it also contains copper (37.5%) which in some cases can cause a harmless mark on your finger.
