Product Overview

This ring is handmade from a Half Crown struck in Sterling Silver (0.925) during WW1 between 1914 & 1918.

The outer band features a crown surrounded by FID DEF (Fidei Defensor, translation: Defender of the Faith) IND IMP (Indiae Imperator, translation: Emperor of India). The year of the coin is in between HALF CROWN. The motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter "HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE" (translation: Evil be to him who thinks evil of it) is also seen on the outer band.  

The interior band reads GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX meaning George V by the Grace of God, King of Britain.  

The Ring pictured is from 1916 but the year you recieve will be random unless otherwise requested. The ring shown is a size V (10.5) and has a band width of 9mm, your ring will look slightly different depending on what size you choose.
