Product Overview

The Hyderabadi rupee was the currency of the Indian Princely State of Hyderabad. These particular 1 Rupee coins were minted in 82% silver between 1912 & 1925.

Both the inner and outer band of the ring feature a decorative meander border. The Urdu text on the outer band translates as "One Rupee Struck at Farkhanda bunyad, Hyderabad, in the (RY) 1st year of tranquil prosperity". The dark patina frames the intricate detail of this ring beautifully

The ring pictured is a size V (US 10.5) and has a band width of 9mm, your ring may look slightly different depending on what size you choose. We craft these coins into rings from size Q (8) to Z +1 (13).

While the coin this particular ring is made from is mostly silver, it also contains copper which in some cases can cause a harmless, washable mark on your finger.
